At Millys Marvels one of our favourite areas of collectables are Bergman bronzes. Franz Xaver Bergman worked out of Vienna, Austria in the 1900s and was renowned for his distinctive style of cold painted bronze with coloured patinations. From our travels up and down the UK at various antiques fairs we frequently come across Bergman bronzes and snap them up.
There's something so detailed and dainty about his unique style which included erotic figurines, various animals, Oriental themes and art deco works. The details are so exquisite making them great for collectors.
