Newark International Collectors Fair

I remember going to Newark as a young girl with my father when he would buy furniture for his antiques business. We would leave very early in the morning and my mum would send us off with a large flask of soup and coffee if it was cold. I remember finding it really exciting, I loved the hubbub and energy at the fair when we arrived and all of the exciting things that were on offer. My father would be interested in the big pieces of furniture and I remember being intrigued by the more quirky items like the vintage dolls houses and old childrens toys. At Newark there really is a wonderful mix of items on offer.

Today I still take the 2 hour drive down the A1 and I enjoy it just as much as ever. It is held on a huge showground site and it is only 2 hours from London. It attracts hundreds of buyers and sellers from around the world. Newark Antiques Fair is organised by IACF and it is world famous.

At Newark Antiques Fair you can purchase anything from furniture, jewellery, carpets, outdoor furniture, sculptures, ceramics, paintings and lighting – the list goes on! There are many a hidden gem to be found at Newark. There are outdoor stalls and huge indoor building which usually house the stalls with the smaller valuables such as Jewellery.
